First Official Test Completed

On Monday and Tuesday the BikeFin Honda Racing Team entered a two day exclusive test at Zwartkops Raceway International raceway outside Pretoria. It was the first ride test for the team in 2011. Lance Isaacs was focussing on the set-up of his BikeFin CBR1000RR Superbike from last year and getting back into the racing rhythm. Lance being top-fit as ever had to get used to the different use of muscles in his forearm after a tough off season training program. Clint Seller, who just returned after a year in the American AMA series started off on the CBR600RR Supersport for a day and a half before the team allowed him to swing his leg over the extremely power full CBR1000RR. Clint is the only member of the BikeFin Honda team that will contest both 1000 and 600 SA WSS series this season. He quickly showed his talent and proved a great asset to the team by setting lap record pace. Young gun Brent Harran took off as where he left the season last year. Quick and familiar with his home ground track he immediately found his race pace easy to maintain. The new member of the team, Angolan Champion Sandro Carvalho had lots to learn on his first outing at Zwartkops and his Honda CBR600RR. With the help of team principle Brad Anassis and his team mates, Sandro made great improvements throughout the testing. At the conclusive meeting on Tuesday Brad was clearly delighted with the test and is very confident that he has a team that will gel well together and that information shared by all four riders was valued and constructive moving forward. From Monday the first three days of testing are planning at the Zwartkops Raceway, at Pretoria East.
