Ten more day to Cape Town

Ten more days until BikeFin Honda boys are going full out for the 7th round of the SA Supersport championship in Cape Town, home territory of Lance ‘aka’ Sir Lancelot. As the championship, with nine rounds in total is coming to a close, all three BikeFin Honda racers have a shot at the title and each of the team members will start in Cape Town with their own agenda. SA’s 2011 Pole Position King Cl...int Seller, currently leading the championship will be looking ahead to retain his lead. Lance Isaacs has shown in the last two rounds that he has the ability to be the champion. The huge home crowd will expect nothing less from Lance and he is confident that he can take mix it with the best. Young gun Brent Harran is only focussed on getting that first win and he is extremely motivated to claim victory on one of his favourite tracks of the year. Brent has showed his team mates already that he is a tough competitor and he will go to the end to get his win. Team principle Brad Anassis is convinced that the Honda’s are almost optimally prepared and will be right in front of the field, Anassis said to watch this space as he is keeping the best ever prepped BikeFin CBR600 for the last two rounds at Zwartkops!

Zwartkops to replace the last round at Kyalami

MSA has announced that the final round of the SA Supersport Championship will not take place at Kyalami but at Zwartkops Raceway. (Saturday 26th November) This will mean that the last two races will take place at the home track of Anassis Racing / BikeFin Honda team in Pretoria East! Although the team was looking forward to go out on the historic racetrack of Kyalami, it supports the decision and is eager to see two races taking place in front of the home crowd

Updated Points

After East London, a new point leader has emerged in the SA Supersport Championship the one and only BikeFin’s Honda rider Mr Clint Seller. His first heat win and consistency in heat two gave him the lead in the championship. Brent solid in third place with Lance Isaacs climbing rapidly up the leader board. With 150 points still for grabs in this seasons championship chase all three BikeFin Honda riders have a shot at the 2011 title. The question is if Clint Seller is going to allow anyone to take away his top step. Without any team orders, Brent and Lance know what to do and will prepare themselves in the best possible way for the 7th Round in 3 weeks time in Cape Town.

Press Release - East London

Another 1-2-3 for BikeFin Honda Racing Team in East London!

The BikeFin Honda Racing Team impressed everyone yet again with their second of the season overall result 1-2-3 at the 6th Round of the South African Supersport Championship held over the weekend at the ultra fast Grand Prix Circuit in East London.

Whoever thought that the Honda CBR600RR couldn’t win in East London was WRONG, Anassis racing had other ideas and have made history with their second consecutive full house podium invasion. Also rocketing Lance Isaacs to now hold both 600cc and 1000cc outright lap records around the extremely fast East London GP circuit on Honda CBR’s!

Race 1: Clint Seller claimed victory after an intense hard on track battle with his team mate Isaacs. It all came down to the last corner where Clint claimed the most wanted spot on the track ‘inside’ of the last corner to give him the advantage run to the line. Lance showed his true speed by shattering the lap record by .4 second. Brent Harran completed the success by taking fourth position.

Race 2: The second heat was a dog fight and it’s no secret that the BikeFin riders had to push extra hard and box cleaver to achieve this brilliant result to achieve an overall 1-2-3, the team’s second podium clean sweep of the season. Race day overall result: 1st Clint Seller, 2nd Lance Isaacs, 3rd Brent Harran. Clint Seller did exactly what he planned to do at the EL Grand Prix track and that was to depart EL as the leader in the SA championship. Brad Anassis is extremely happy with the performance of the bikes & team “this accomplished seemed to be almost an impossible task at this super fast circuit, but we did it proving the Honda has the pace to win at SA’s fastest track”

The dominating style must be giving the competition something to think about by now. Brad Anassis is confident that with the team’s improvement, the last three races could see a repeat of the last two events. With Clint in the lead of the championship and with both Lance and Brent backing him up, the competition is the chasing party. Brad makes it clear that it is an accomplishment of the whole team whom has been working extremely hard and found that extra bit to win races.

With the championship lead now intact, the BikeFin Honda Team has no intention to let go of the leading position and that is exactly what they are going to do at the next round in Cape Town, the hometown of Lance Isaacs.
